As a result of that random allergic reaction you had in Aug 2013, we had to see a specialist in an attempt to identify the allergen that caused all that trouble. Tia Eli sent us to Sas’s Allergist and he was the sweetest man, but we never did identify any allergens for you. Ultimately, that is a good thing but nonetheless frustrating. This is you during that skin test.

You had your first visit to the dentist in September 2103 at 3 years old. You did great! The dentist was a big help. She had a tv on the ceiling above the examination chair! You were not mad at that. Ha!

I think this was early July 2013. Yana’s photographer friend came to her house and shot some photos of us. You were a natural.

A couple of tender moments with your fave grandparents.

In August 2013 you had a severe allergic reaction that required an ambulance ride and short hospital stay. The doctors (ultimately including an Allergist) were unable to determine what caused your allergic reaction. Physically, your body was cover in welts / hives (face to bottom of your feet), your breathing was slightly constricted (coughing accompanied the skin reaction), and your condition did not improve with the steroids and epinephrine injections the hospital staff administered. Upon release, we continued a tapered dosage of steroids for 1 week and you were fine. We have to carry an Epi. pen for 1 year to be safe, but otherwise it’s business as usual. Scary experience for all of us, but you were such a trooper. Thanks to God all turned out well.

Even before I met you, my favorite sound in the world has always been the sound of children’s laughter. Your laugh is special. It tickles my heart. Mischievous and marvelous.
