Counting!?!???!!!!

Xol was picking up books today and just starting reciting out loud as she picked them up, ” 6,7,8,9”. And I lost it!!! She then started saying, “Me, counting”. IM OVER THE MOON EXCITED!! She has shown little to no interest in numbers so far, so this is a big development over here!!! Very happy lioness :))

Exercising my right to nudity mom!

I think I mentioned Xol has not been enjoying her diapers for a while? HATES THEM! Anyway, she’s just started despising clothes in general. Doesn’t want to wear them and isn’t happy that I make her, so whenever possible these days, I let her run free like the day she was born. Naked!

Xol has full on, fictional conversations on the telephone now. They used to be just hello or facial expressions. Now it’s hello, talks about her day, laughs, strolls around the house and ignores me while she does it. Xol!! You’re so funny!!

19 months

Xol turned 20 months old yesterday! Time is melting away. Xol is such a funny, happy, strong willed, curious, intelligent, loving little girl. Spending my days with her is easy. I will say though, she is in full swing toddler mode. Climbing everything, testing my limits, doing everything “self”, touching everything (crumbs on the floor, dirt on the bottom of shoes, spiderwebs, bleh), talking in 3-4 word sentences regularly, climbing the stairs by herself (me standing right behind her), loves “kids” & her school, sings & dances throughout her day, & on & on!! I just told my friend the other day that Xol has only thrown one major tantrum & about 48 hrs later she threw one everyday, 3 days in a row!! Not horrible, but I will say that (and germy, sick kids) tantrums/hitting/etc is a draw back of the toddler socialization at school. I’m seriously considering switching back to my idea of the dance studio class for socialization instead after this school session. They aren’t “teaching” her anything beyond the socialization at this point anyway, so we may revisit the school at a later time. Stay tuned after next month. Xol is still a GREAT eater. Appetite just like her mama’s. Also, she’s still nursing! Go mama &Xol!! She’s wearing size 2T and size 6 shoes. She tugs at her diapers all the time now. It’s like she sick of wearing them, but not so much that she’s bought into the potty training! Haha. Everything in time. Speaking of that…shes still not interested in learning her numbers. She will repeat colors and sometimes identifies then correctly, but isn’t a pro just yet. She’s still in love with letters and words. Identifies lots of them and knows names for objects when she comes in contact with them. En mi vida nunca pense que podria querer a algien tanto como quiero a Xol. Mi hija, mi vida, mi angel…mi querida Xol.
