Feb 2017- Conquering the Lego
Feb 2017- Visit to Tio Gabriel’s Station
You’ve always really loved your Tio Gabriel. Even when you were a baby. You didn’t like many men around, but he was always ok with you! He is a Police Officer at Vernon PD and we sold them some cookies from your Girl Scouts troop and we went to deliver them on this day. You got a whole tour and you loved it. It made a big impression on you.
Feb 2017- Legos with pop
Feb 2017- Valentine’s Day
You went through a period of wanting to wear glasses even thought you didn’t need them and you looked great doing it. These glasses were store bought and just clear lenses. Your teacher at the time didn’t want you to wear them without a doctor note- total buzzkill if you ask me! Lol. Years later we went to the optometrist and got you some frames for “protection” and you wore them in 3rd/
February 2017-Girls Scouts
You had a quick stint in the Girl Scouts. I volunteered to make the Troop’s banners and even conducted a meeting about meditation and mindfulness once. We decided to leave the troop after 1 season. There was a lot of cookie selling involved and your extra curricular schedule was so full, we couldn’t commit, but it was fun while it lasted!
Jan 2017- Pals
Jan2017- Tae Kwon Do
Jan 21, 2017- Women’s March
You’re not in these pictures, but not because I didn’t want to take you. Your dad thought you were too young to go to this rally. President Trump won the presidency and the women of the country were not here for it! We all protested around the country, but in Los Angeles there were about 700,00 people in attendance. It is the largest protest I have ever been to thus far and I’ve been going to them since I was a teenager! I regretted you not being with me, but we did have to do so much walking, even on a freeway and climbed a fence. It may have been too much for you. After this, I vowed to take you to all my protest ventures though and I have. Who I did take with me was Tata! and Tia Eli. We were really proud of my mom. You should be too. We all stood up for ourselves this day and I wanted you to remember this on here. This is what Democracy looks like.
