I left Xol overnight for the first time yesterday. It will only be for 24 hrs but I’m lying in a hotel room bed wide awake, at 6:45a, for the last 2 hours looking at her pics & just wishing I was with her. I slept for maybe 3.5 hours and what I was looking the most forward to was sleeping in! I don’t want to do this again anytime soon. I need to breathe her in. We are ALWAYS together. She feels like an extension of my body and being without her is not natural for me. I’m coming home baby…not soon enough. I love you.

Today we were at the mall and a lady screamed when she saw Xol and said, “She is ADORABLE!! I am starting a business that rents out Grandmas. Does she need a grandma?” Obviously I said we had that area covered, but the lady went nuts. She asked for her name and then said Xol is her new favorite name and that her daughter had to have a baby and name her Xol. I told her my husband and I decided when we named her Xol that all of our children’s names would begin with X. She continued to lose her mind at how cute an idea that was and how cute she was (said she looked like Snow White) and then said she had to hold her. Almost on cue, Xol stretched out her arms at the lady!! She took her and they talked, shopped for shoes, looked in the mirror, and Xol played with her Karma beads. I mean, she hammed it up! The main point here is that Xol is definitely over her stranger anxiety!!! Over the last 2 weeks she has been visiting with family (besides abuelita Elida), friends, and strangers without crying (Guys are still a little suspect). Today sealed the deal. She had never seen this white lady in her life!! Haha. I am a happy mama bear 🙂
