Hi Xol…

It’s mom 🙂 I used to post to this site regularly. It looks like the last time I did that was in Dec 2014. It is now May 2020! Time passes so quickly.

With very few exceptions, I’ve spent every day with you and put you to sleep every night since you were born. I’ve been with you every step of the way and I guess I just let this go for a while and decided to live in the moment. So much has happened since I was last here.

You’ve had your 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th birthdays. We are just over a month from your 10th birthday and that’s what prompted me to update this space for you. As a gift for your 10th birthday.

You graduated preschool and kindergarten, completed 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades. You are almost done with 4th grade and it’s been a memorable year to say the least!! We are currently 2 months into a quarantine due to Coronavirus. We’ve had to stay home the whole time (as you know) and we aren’t done yet. We are living history right now. It’s actually been a blessing in so many ways. We are blessed and grateful to have each other and every thing we need.

Back to what we need to catch up on! Your 5th birthday was an under the sea adventure completed with a real life mermaid! Your 6th birthday we started to tone down your extravagant parties and had a tea party with friends at a local tea house and dinner at a blues club with family.  Your 7th birthday we stayed at the Great Wolf Lodge and had a great time at the indoor water park and indoor nail salon with friends. Your 8th birthday we had an athletic birthday party that included a basketball theme, swimming party and trampoline park party…all in the same day! Your 9th party was a small return to the extravagant parties of the past. We had a science themed party complete with a Virtual Reality area, mobile lab themed escape room for kids, piñata, science experiments, lab coats and safety goggles and a big cake you helped design. Your 10th birthday will likely be celebrated in quarantine, but I had already started planning it beforehand. We were going to have a volunteer party at Baby 2 Baby, a place we volunteered at together last year, and a fun party at the Magic Castle! We still plan to do this, but it will have to be postponed.

I have so much to say and so much to catch you up on here. I love you more than I can express and I hope you enjoy reliving these experiences as much as I do. I’m going to try and help you do that with pictures. Lots and lots of pictures from 2015-2020…coming right up!!
