Ooops. I’m a day late on the 22 month update. You were officially 23 months yesterday! Let me tell you. You are a firecracker! You have me on my feet all day baby girl! You’re on the move. Constantly. You would think I would have returned to my glory days (weight), but NO. Moving on. As an aside, you eat like a MAN. You are the thinnest little thing, but you have an appetite like your mother! Don’t worry I was a twig until my mid-30s and if you continue eating the healthy diet you have now, you’ll last to the finish! You also recently began and LOVE gymnastics! You are a “natural” as Coach Judy says. She said she sees it in your blood. I was all flushed with pride when she said that to me! You love being outside and you LOVE (let me not understate this), LOVE to wash your hands. All day. And night. Your love of the Mickey Mouse clubhouse rages on and you are showing interest in Dora the Explorer. You LOVE Sas and your Tia Eli. You cannot get enough of them. Yana and Tata are still some of your faves. You are also quite dramatic. I cannot figure out where in the world you might get that from. Anyhow, you tell me a couple of times a day that you are ‘sad’ in the sweetest, softest little voice and you ask for a hug. Interestingly, if you are going into a mini-tantrum, because I denied you something, you will start to cry. All i have to ask you is if you want me to hold you. You say yes and we redirect to something new AND it’s all over. Luckily enough for me too because your “terrible twos” are starting to show. Although, I prefer to refer to them, under the working title, as the “terrific twos”. It doesn’t sound so daunting. And I hear it lasts longer than a year, so I may rethink the title all together! Haha. I’m not worried. We are having the time of our lives Xol. You make everyone around you so happy! You are a light of love and laughter. Your vocabulary and full on sentences have me cracking up all the time. Earlier this month we were in my closet and I asked you what I should wear and you said “Let me think”. When I asked again you said, “I’m thinking. Relax!” Also, every time we get in the car you scream, “Slow down dude!” I ask myself…What have I done? Oooh and you went to a couple of Laker games over the last couple of months. Sat through the whole thing like a champ! (May be old news, not sure what I have reported in previous updates!) Also, we are in full party planning mode for the big #2. It’s going to be considerably smaller, but that’s always been the plan. Go big on #1 and #5 and whatever happens after that will be up to you! If I think of anything else, I will edit this post. For now, I have to cut it short since you are demanding we get frozen yogurt while you sing “Wheels on the bus” in my face. So, (as I always say) let’s do this Brutus! Te adoro mi angelita 😉
