Day 1 and 2 of you sitting in a FORWARD facing car seat. These were the last moments you were ever seen happy sitting in the car seat. I decided to give the forward facing car seat position a try because tragically, in early August, you entered a phase in which you refused to sit in your car seat. I had planned on keeping you rear facing until at least 30-35 lbs. (You were 28lbs when I turned you around), but desperate times call for desperate measures. Ultimately, it didn’t work, but you had a taste of the good life and you weren’t turning back (get it?!). You scream, kick, and try to break free from your restraints whether we are in the car for 2 seconds, 2 minutes, or 2 hours. It’s not pretty and it is a serious downer for me. We were on such a good roll this summer with all our fun activities, but this snag has definitely slowed us down. I am praying this phase ends quickly or I may become a hermit. You too Xolecita! Argh.
